The Yeovil constituency covers a large area of South Somerset and includes Chard, Crewkerne, Ilminster and South Petherton, as well as Yeovil itself. Whilst both Labour and the Green Party have pockets of support, locally neither party has ever come close to winning right across this constituency in a General Election.
