Adam Dance is ready to step up to the challenge of being the MP we deserve.
Adam was elected in July 2024 having built his reputation from being a popular councillor from South Petherton and the surrounding villages for getting things done and staying regularly in touch in residents.
Adam has been horrified at how our country has been allowed to rot by the Conservatives. So many people are struggling and this can’t be allowed to continue. He will be holding the new Labour Government to account to make sure improvements that we desperately need to see are made.
Adam grew up knowing that life can be tough, from the bucket at the foot of his bed to catch raindrops, to being diagnosed with severe dyslexia which meant school was extremely challenging. Adam has fought hard in life and through his drive set up his own successful landscaping business. His drive only grew and his first step in politics began when he led a successful campaign to save the youth club in South Petherton.
Adam has risen through the ranks and has led on Public Health at Somerset Council since May 2022. He now wants extend his “can do” attitude and care of people to the wider Yeovil constituency.
As your MP, Adam want to be seen a lot more in communities than his Conservative predecessor, following on well-respected former MPs for Yeovil, Paddy Ashdown and David Laws.

Adam cares about key issues
- The NHS - It’s now increasingly difficult to access GPs and dentists. The Lib Dems want to recruit and train 8,000 more GPs so everyone can get an appointment within seven days. Adam also wants to see the decision to remove acute stroke services from Yeovil Hospital reversed.
- Cost of Living - Reckless handling of our economy caused mortgages and prices to shoot up higher and higher. The Lib Dems want to tax energy company profits, rebuild our relationship and trade with Europe, and stabilise our economy
- Environment - The Conservatives allowed water companies to dump dirty sewage in our rivers and streams. The Lib Dems want to ban bonuses for the bosses responsible and replace their firms with public interest companies with a duty to protect our environment.
